I sometimes use a "What" > "So What" > "Then What" format during retrospective meetings: I let people come up with their own individual "What" but after that both the "So What" and the "Then What" become collective thinking.
The examples you shared clearly show how you can efficiently get to core issues starting with a simple "So what".
